Indian Incentive Program
Doing business with Tyonek helps support the future for young Tebughna natives.
The Department of Defense (DoD) Indian Incentive Program (IIP) motivates prime contractors to utilize Alaska Native Corporations, Native American or Hawaiian-Owned enterprises, by providing a 5% rebate to the prime contractors on subcontracted work performed by these organizations or on subcontracted commercial products manufactured in whole or in part by the native organization.
Tyonek Manufacturing Group’s companies are eligible to participate, but prime contractors must refer to their contracts for inclusion of certain FAR or DFAR clauses (see application process below).
The benefits of participating in the IIP are:
- Eligible for an incentive payment of 5% of the amount paid to Tyonek
- Team with a high-performing, quality 8(a) Alaska Native Corporation
- Increased participation in your subcontracting plan
- With Tyonek’s support, the incentive application process is easy!
- Working with Tyonek provides support for the social & economic development of the natives of Tyonek
- Funding & administration is provided by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, not the contract’s program or contracting office
- $8 Million is budgeted each year specifically for this program (funding must be included in the approved budget)
